City Power Johannesburg 2025 Bursary Applications Now Open-Apply Now

City Power Johannestburg (SOC) Limited as a progressive company committed to the skills and development initiatives of the country and striving for the social and economic development of the region, invites Applicants to apply for a bursary.

Requirements

  1. Bursaries shall be awarded to deserving and qualifying candidates from within the City of Johannesburg service area.
  2. There shall be a gender ratio of 70% female to 30% male.
  3. Grade 12 learners with a minimum symbol of C (60%) who meet the admission criteria as set by the educational institution.
  4. Undergraduate students at Universities or Universities of Technology or TVET Colleges with excellent academic performance with a minimum average percentage mark of 60%.
  5. Preferably from universities or TVET colleges situated in Gauteng although this is not a requirement.
  6. You must be a South African Citizen.

The following documents must accompany your application form:

  1. An application form which is obtainable from the City Power Career website
  2. Certified copy of academic transcript (only if you are currently an undergraduate university student)
  3. Certfied copy of Matric certificate (Grade 12)
  4. Certfied copy of South African ldentity Document
  5. Proof of acceptance at a tertiary study institution (only if you are currently an undergraduate university student).

 

CITY POWER will fund the following qualifications:

  1. Electrical Engineering (HeavylLight Current)
  2. Risk management
  3. Environmental Health Management Information Technology
